Our role as a dispatch intermediary
At Quito, we act only as a dispatch intermediary. We receive your request, pass the relevant details to an independent service provider and help connect the parties. We do not own or operate the responding vehicle and do not perform the on-scene towing, recovery, repair or transport work.
Your agreement with the service provider
The independent service provider that accepts the job is responsible for the on-scene assessment, equipment, personnel, driving, loading, securement, route, performance of the work and compliance with applicable professional and road-safety duties. The service provider and customer must confirm the work, price, payment, destination and any job-specific terms before service begins.
Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for giving accurate location, vehicle, condition, ownership or authority, access and destination information; disclosing known hazards or damage; following lawful safety instructions; and paying charges you approve. Do not request work on a vehicle or property unless you have lawful authority to do so.
Availability and estimates
Service, equipment and arrival estimates depend on traffic, weather, access, vehicle condition, required equipment, current demand and other job circumstances. An estimate is not a guaranteed arrival time.
Pricing and authorisation
Ask us to confirm the planned equipment, rate structure, included work, possible extra charges, destination and payment responsibility before you approve service.
Responsibility and limits
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Quito is responsible only for its own dispatch-coordination acts and is not responsible for the independent service provider's on-scene acts, omissions, delays, equipment, workmanship, driving, custody of the vehicle, loss or damage. Quito is also not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete customer information, unsafe or unlawful instructions, road closures, weather, traffic, authority action or other circumstances outside Quito's reasonable control.
Rights that cannot be excluded
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, duties or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude or limit. Any provision that is unenforceable applies only to the maximum lawful extent, while the remaining terms continue to apply.
Claims and disputes
Raise any service complaint promptly with the independent service provider that performed the work and keep photographs, receipts and written confirmations. Contact Quito as well if the issue concerns our dispatch coordination so we can review the communication record.
Safety and emergencies
Call the relevant emergency authority first when there is injury, fire, immediate danger or a road-safety incident requiring official control. Do not take photographs or inspect a vehicle in an unsafe position.
